Julius Lindahl Cowdrey (born 30 January 1993) is a British singer, songwriter, record producer, and reality television presenter.
Cowdrey was best known for appearing on the reality television show Made in Chelsea prior to his musical career and the unveiling of his single 7 Roads (I See You).
Early life
Cowdrey was born in Canterbury, Kent, on January 30, 1993 to Chris Cowdrey and Christel (née Holst-Sande); he is of Swedish descent on his mother's side. Cowdrey, the father of a cricketing dynasty, as well as life peer Colin Cowdrey, both captaining England. Fabian Cowdrey, his twin brother, kept the family name and played for Kent County Cricket Club for five years. Julius discovered his talent and passion for music at a young age while singing in the Tonbridge School choir and beginning songwriting at the age of 16; following in the footsteps of his mother, who herself is a jazz guitarist.
Career
Cowdrey introduced live music to London's West End nightclub Mahiki in 2013 and became a regular headliner at London's jazz clubs, including The Troubadour. Cowdrey started splitting his time between London and New York, where he spent a lot of time on his music, and was eventually invited to headline rooftop parties in Los Angeles after his London success.
Cowdrey's debut single "7 Roads (I See You)" was released in November 2016, where it reached the top of the UK official iTunes singer-songwriter chart and Number 2 on the Spotify UK Viral Chart after a few years honing his craft.
