On season fifteen of The Bachelorette, starring Hannah Brown, Cameron first attracted national notice as a contestant.

He went on to finish as the season's best runner-up, and he also works as a model for Soul Artist Management in New York City and Next Management Miami.

Early life and education

Cameron was born in Jupiter, Florida, to parents Jeff Cameron and Andrea Hermann Cameron; his mother worked as a Realtor in South Florida. Cameron is the eldest of three sons. The family suffered financially during the Great Recession, resulting in them losing their house and Cameron's parents divorcing.

Cameron spent his time at Wake Forest University, where he was the backup quarterback for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons football team after graduating from Jupiter Community High School. Cameron enrolled in the Florida Atlantic University College of Business and obtained a Master of Business Administration degree in 2018.

Career

After being found on Instagram, Cameron began his modeling career as a college student. He later joined Soul Artist Management in New York City and Next Management Miami, respectively, and Next Management Miami.

Cameron appeared in season fifteen of The Bachelorette, starring former Miss Alabama USA Hannah Brown. Cameron was named a contestant by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) in the spring of 2019, and on May 7, 2019. Cameron continued to place as the runner-up after being ruled out by Brown during the last episode that aired on July 30, 2019, and was shot in Crete. Brown confessed to breaking up with winner Jed Wyatt after it emerged that he was in a sex fight with another woman right before and during filming. Brown then asked Cameron on a date, to which he accepted, but they did not end up resuming their relationship. During his time on the program, Cameron earned national notice for his numerous feminist views and for often supporting Brown after she was the victim of acts of suspected sexism by contestants, including Luke Parker.

Fans of the show and media alike pleaded with Cameron to be named as the lead for The Bachelor's new season. Following media reports of him dating fashion model Gigi Hadid, host Chris Harrison said in an interview that he was in talks to become the Bachelor, but he denied the bid. Peter Weber was ultimately chosen as the lead for the twenty-fourth season.
