Julien Doré (French pronunciation: [ylj]; born 7 July 1982; actor and singer Julien Doré (born 7 July 1982) is a French singer-songwriter, guitarist, and comedian.

He is the winner of the fifth season of the television show Nouvelle Star, which aired on France's television M6 channel. He is also Gustave Doré's great-grandson, a well-known illustrator of the 19th century.

Life

Doré was born in Alès (Gard, Occitanie), and grew up in Lunel. He studied at École des Beaux-Arts de Nîmes for five years after taking his baccalauréat littéraire at the University of Louis Feuillade. He is the producer of the band Dig Up Elvis. He cofounded "The Jean d'Ormesson disco suicide" with Guillaume de Molina in 2006, a "protean group" that covered pop and disco hits. Doré was voted number one in France's "15 Sexiest Guys" poll in June 2007. Louise Bourgoin was dated by him, but the two were divorced in March 2009.

Career

Doré has had a fruitful musical career after winning Nouvelle Star with three studio albums, Ersatz (2008), Bichon (2011), and L've (2013), all top four on the official French Albums Chart. He has also excelled at chart success in Belgium and Switzerland. "Pour uninfidèle," he performed in 2009 as a duet with C'ur de Pirate of her song "Pour uninfidèle." To market the album, a video was released introducing the two actors as a 1960s-era celebrity couple. Doré released the song "Helsinki" with French singer Mélanie Pain in 2009. In addition, Doré collaborated with French chanteuse Sylvie Vartan on her 2010 album, Soleil bleu.

On Season 4 of The Voice, Quentin Bruno and Law were a guest coach for candidates. la belle voix is the French version of the reality television singing competition The Voice.
