Juan Jesus Career

Club career

Juan Jesus joined Sport Club Internacional's youth team in 2007. He made his debut on the first team in 2010, winning the 2010 Copa Libertadores, and the club sold him for about R$9.26 million (reported €3.8 million fee); 35% to third-party owner DIS Esporte. Juan's registration rights were transferred to Coimbra Esporte Clube, a Brazilian club that was mainly a middleman team.

Juan Jesus joined Internazionale, a Serie A club. Inter disclosed that the fee was €4 million, but that a separate bonus clause had been included. In Inter's 3–1 away loss against Lazio, he made his first Serie A appearance since arriving late as a last-minute replacement for Diego Milito.

Juan Jesus debuted as one of Inter's first pick starting XI in 2012–13, working alongside Andrea Ranocchia and Walter Samuel in a 3–5–2 system. In a 2–5 home loss to Udinese in the last match of the domestic season, he scored his first goal on 19 May 2013. He finished the year with 44 appearances in all leagues, including 31 with Inter, finishing the season in a disappointing ninth position and unable to qualify for either next season's UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League.

Juan Jesus wore the number 5 shirt after the departure of long-time player Dejan Stankovi on July 12. He captained Inter for the first time in a friendly match against Real Madrid in the United States in August 2013, resulting in a 3–0 loss.

Juan Jesus' contract with Inter continued until 2018 on September 24, 2013 at a reported salary of €1.2 million per year.

Juan Jesus made his Internal appearance on February 4th in a game against Napoli in the Coppa Italia's quarter-finals, which the Nerazzurrri lost 1–0 away at Stadio San Paolo thanks to a late winner by Gonzalo Higuay.

Juan Jesus joined Roma on loan for €2 million in loan fees and a conditional commitment to purchase an additional €8 million if such conditions were fulfilled before the loan was concluded. During the 2016–17 season, the purchase contract was activated, implying that Jesus will join Roma on a long-term basis in the summer transfer window.

Juan Jesus signed Napoli on a season-long contract with the possibility of extending his contract for the 2022-23 season.

International career

Juan Jesus was selected by Ney Franco, the under-20 team's manager, after having competed in the under-18 and under-19 national teams in early 2010. In January 2011, he was involved in the team's triumph at the 2011 South American U-20 Championship in Peru, where he appeared in all eight matches of the competition. He appeared in the FIFA U-20 World Cup last year, where Brazil defeated Portugal in the final. Juan stayed on the entire game, leading his team to a 3–2 win after extra time.

Juan Jesus made his Brazilian first team debut against Denmark on May 26, 2012, playing the full 90 minutes in a 1–3 away win.

Juan Jesus, a national security guard, and captain Thiago Silva competed in all of Brazil's games at the 2012 London Olympics, leading the team to a silver medal.

Brazil beat Argentina 2–0 to win the 2014 Superclásico de las Américas in Beijing, he was an unused substitute.

Juan did not rule out his opportunity to play for Italy's national football team since all his caps for Brazil were friendly matches. Juan, on the other hand, was not granted Italian citizenship (or citizenship of any European Union member), making him ineligible to Italy.

After being accused of verbally assaulting Napoli defender Juan Jesus, Francesco Acerbi has left the Italy national squad ahead of upcoming friendlies in the United States. During Sunday's 1-1 draw in Serie A, the Inter Milan defender is accused of racially insulting Brazil's Jesus, something he has denied. Juan Jesus, the Black man, was obviously distraught in the second half when he marched up to the referee who then called out Acerbi.

AC Milan's spectacular showing helped them reach the Champions League semi-finals. Rafael Leao's superb display helped AC Milan make it to the Champions League semifinals

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 20, 2023
ALVISE CAGNAZZO IN ITALY Rafael Leao is the beating heart of AC Milan, Stefano Pioli's team's team's talisman, and his result against Napoli on Tuesday night was fantastic. AC would not have reached their first Champions League semi-final in 16 years without him. Leao is similar to a prime racehorse who races through every obstacle, but it will also feed scraps and turn them into huge dreams. Olivier Giroud's decisive goal was a result of Leao's strength and endurance, and he cracked open Napoli's defence with ease, torturing Mario Rui, Juan Jesus, and Amir Rrahmani before delivering a spectacular ball to the Frenchman.
