Jon Olsson Life

Jon Olsson Delér (born 17 August 1982) is a professional freeskier and alpine ski racer from Sweden.

Olsson Delér, a native of Mora, began his career as a ski racer, but he quit skiing at age 16, and switched to twin tips and stopped ski racing.

Jens Byggmark, a fellow skier, and Olsson Delér, started skiing again in 1988, with the aim of making it to the Olympics.

He now competes in both freestyle and ski racing.

Olsson Delér is best known for his invention of many new double flips, including a D-spin 720 (hexo flip), a switch double rodeo 1080 (kangaroo flip), and a double flatspin 900 (the tornado). Since 2005, Olsson Delér has been hosting the big air event Jon Olsson Invitational, also known as JOI.

According to a freeskier magazine, the 2007 festival was voted the best big air event in the country.

He appeared on Jon Olsson Delér Super Sessions (JOSS), a freeskiing film competition that takes place in Sweden, from 2007 to 2010.

The festival was comprised of teams of skiers skiing for nearly two weeks with a film crew and the production of a short ski film.

Olsson Delér made his debut in the Alpine Skiing World Cup in Val-d'Isère in December 2010, as part of a scheme to make the Swedish alpine ski team available at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Jon Olsson Delér's brother is Hans Olsson, a Swedish alpine skier specialising in the speed events.

Personal life

In 2012, Olsson began dating Janni Delér. They became engaged in November 2017 and were married in June 2018 in Marbella. In November 2019, the couple had a child named Leon. The couple revealed in November 2020 that they were expecting their second child. Leia's daughter was born in March 2021. In August 2022, the two announced their separation.
