John Lescroart (born January 14, 1948) is a New York Times best-selling author best known for his series of legal and crime thriller books starring the characters Dismas Hardy, Abe Glitsky, and Wyatt Hunt.
His books have been translated into 22 languages in more than 76 countries, and 18 of his books have appeared on the New York Times bestseller list.
Early life and education
Lescroart was born in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Junpero Serra High School in San Mateo, California, Class of 1966. He obtained a B.A. At UC Berkeley in 1970, I was Honors in English.
Career
Lescroart, a self-described "Jack of all trades" who served as both a word processor, a writer, editor, and fundraiser before being promoted to a full-time writer in 1994.
