Ward appeared on The Stephanie Miller Show, a nationally syndicated liberal radio talk show that also covers other celebrities and journalists, from 2004 to 2017.

Ward is best known for his numerous appearances in animation and video games. During his long career, he has played Captain Copernicus Leslie Qwark in The Ratchet & Clank franchise, Mannimarco's The Fairly OddParents, and Professor Xavier on The Secret Files of the Spy Dogs, Henry Peter Gyrich, Angus, and Henry Peter Gyrich in The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Henry Peter Gyrich, The Fairly OddParents, Henry Peter Gyrich

Ward appeared on Biker Mice from Mars, a recreation of the 1990s show of the same name. On the show, Peter Strauss had portrayed Stoker, but Ward took over after he left the series. He was nominated and received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in a Animated Program in 2009, for his appearances on the show.
