Jillian Leigh Bell (born April 25, 1984) is an American comedian, actress, and screenwriter.

On the last season of Eastbound & Down, she appeared on Workaholics and as Dixie.

She appeared in 22 Jump Street and Fist Fight, as well as in the upcoming film Brittany Runs a Marathon.

Bell is currently playing Violet Hart in Bless the Harts' main role.

Early life

Bell was born and raised in Las Vegas, the daughter of Tanzy and Ron Bell. She is descended on Romanian descent from her maternal grandmother. Bell began studying improv at the age of eight. In 2002, she graduated from Bishop Gorman High School. She migrated to Los Angeles and became a member of the Groundlings after high school.

Bell is a graduate of The Straitjacket Society in Los Angeles. She applied for Saturday Night Live. Despite the fact that she did not join the cast, she became a writer for the show in 2009, which was the 35th season. Bell appeared in a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode as an assistant who wears showing clothing at work.

She first appeared on "Jillian Belk" on Comedy Central's Workaholics in 2011. Paul Thomas Anderson, a film director, discovered her in Workaholics and cast her in a small role in his 2012 film, The Master, and then in another small role in his 2014 film, Inherent Vice. In the fourth and final seasons of Eastbound and Down, she appeared as Dixie. She appeared on 22 Jump Street with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum in 2014. She appeared in Goosebumps and The Night Before, co-starring Chrissie and Bill Murray in 2015.

Bell's Idiotesitter, a new comedy series that Bell portrays as the wealthy adult daughter of wealthy parents who is constantly misbehaving. Idiotsitter first appeared as a web series in early 2014 before being picked up by Comedy Central in June 2014 for network airing.

Bell appeared in Disney's Godmothered, which was released on Disney+.
