Jerome was born on June 4, 1995. Ponce is the SK Chairman of Barangay 628 in Santa Mesa, Manila. He studied at Malayan High School of Science in Pandacan, Manila. Since starting his acting career, he postponed his college studies at the Mapua Institute of Technology. Jerome is also related to Jesus Porciuncula Jr., his uncle, the older brother of his late father, is also a founding member of Premiere Productions.
Career
Ponce appeared in Cory ng Edsa's musical play and began his showbiz career as a stage actor in theatre performances. Ponce made his television debut in the Philippine daytime television drama series Be Careful With My Heart as Luke Lim in 2012. Ponce tried to enter the Philippine version of Big Brother, Pinoy Big Brother, twice before joining the daytime soap, but he was unable to enter the house because he was not allowed to enter the reserved slot. Ponce is one of the 2013 Star Magic Circle's 12 "discoveries." In the afternoon teleserye, Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita, he was last seen playing Ryan Briones.
