Jennifer Christina Finnigan (born August 22, 1979) is a Canadian actress best known for her role in the American soap opera Bridget Forrester from 2000 to 2004, for which she received three Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series.

She appeared on CBS' legal drama Close to Home and ABC's Better with You.

Finnigan also appeared on the FX series Tyrant.

She appeared in the CBS thriller drama Salvation later in the decade.

Early life and education

Finnigan was born in Montreal, Québec. She is the niece of Diane Rioux Finnigan, a well-known radio presenter in Montreal from 1972 to 2005, and she was a fixture on CJAD radio in Montreal. She attended The Sacred Heart School of Montreal, a Catholic, all-girl private school from which she graduated in 1996.

Jonathan Silverman, a Finnigan, married Jonathan Silverman on the Greek island of Mykonos on June 7, 2007. Ella Jack, She and Silverman's daughter, was born on September 29, 2017.

Career

Finnigan appeared in a number of Canadian shows from 1998 to 2000. She appeared on "The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo" in 1998 for a few people. She appeared in one episode of "Big Wolf on Campus" in early 1999, and she appeared in a sitcom called Student Bodies, playing Kim McCloud in the show's final season. She appeared in Season 7 of Are You Afraid of the Dark? in the first half of 2000, as well as making a guest appearance on La Femme Nikita.

Finnigan migrated to the United States in mid-2000 and appeared as Bridget Forrester in the long-running soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. In December 2000, she appeared in a true tale in the telefilm The Stalking of Laurie Show about a young teenager's real life murder. Finnigan appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful from July 2000 to January 2004 and received three awards for her role on the show. She is the first woman to win three straight Daytime Emmy Awards (29th, 30th, 31st Awards), with the slogan "Outstanding Younger Actress" in the honor. In January 2004, she left the show to pursue other acting roles.

Finnigan appeared on ten episodes of Crossing Jordan as pathologist Dr. Devan Maguire from March 2004 to November 2004. Following her exit from the show, Marni Fliss appeared on the NBC series Committed, which only aired for 13 episodes before being cancelled due to low ratings. From January to March 2005, the program aired from January to March 2005. Alex Sinclair made a guest appearance in "Double Vision" in mid-2005.

Finnigan appeared on CBS television drama series Close to Home as a deputy district attorney beginning in 2005. While still starring in Close to Home in December 2005, she made her second guest appearance as Alex Sinclair in the episode "A Very Dead Zone Christmas." on The Dead Zone. Close to Home aired for two seasons before being cancelled in May 2007. Finnigan made one last guest appearance on The Dead Zone in August 2007, right before the show ended in late 2007.

Finnigan co-starred with her husband, actor Jonathan Silverman, in Beethoven's Big Break, the most recent addition to the Beethoven film series; the film was released direct-to-DVD in late 2008. She appeared in Playing for Keeps, a CTV/Lifetime Original Film that airs as What Color Is Love? In the United States, the United States has a foreign policy. Finnigan appeared in the ABC sitcom Better with You, which was cancelled after only one season.

In the Psych sixth-season film "Neil Simon's Lover's Retreat," she costarred alongside Jason Priestley. Shadow Island Mysteries: The Last Christmas and Mysteries of One.

She appeared on TNT's Monday Mornings, in which her real life husband Jonathan Silverman was a regular cast member. After one season, the program was cancelled.

She appeared on the FX series Tyrant, which premiered on June 24, 2014. After three seasons, Tyrant's final episode aired on September 7, 2016.

On the CBS action drama Salvation, Grace Barrows, the Pentagon's press secretary, appeared. When the Pentagon first announced that Earth will collide with a rocky with potential extinction-level destruction capability, Barrows was one of the few people initially warned. The series lasted for two seasons.
