Jeffrey Carlson (born June 23, 1975) is an American, Broadway, film, television, and singer best known for his role as the transgender Zarf/Zoe in the long-running daytime soap opera All My Children.
Education
Carlson was born in Long Beach, California. Jeffrey was named Jeffrey by his mother because she was a fan of All My Children and the appearance of Jeff Martin on the program. He studied at the University of California Davis, where he earned his B.A. in 1997. In dramatic art. Carlson spent time at Juilliard School in New York City as a member of the Drama Division's Group 30 (1997–2001).
Career

Zarf was revealed to be a transgender woman named Zoe, who also happened to be a lesbian during the course of the storyline. In 2007, All My Children received a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Daily Drama for this storyline. He appeared in Lorenzaccio at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C., and performed Hamlet in June 2008.
