He started "You Might Be a Redneck" in 1993, a fad that topped the comedy charts and ignited the "You Might Be a Redneck" movement. The album was gold in 1994, platinum by 1995, and 3 platinum by 1996, which is more than three million copies.

After an initial run of 20 shows, the tour lasted three years, with intermittently being extended.

On The WB Television Network, Comedy Central, and Comedy Network, he created Blue Collar TV in 2004. Foxworthy has written several books, including You Might Be a Redneck (1989), as well as his autobiography, No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem! (1996). Layron DeJarnette, an artist, created illustrations for the Redneck Dictionary books. R. David Boyd has been the exclusive illustrator on most of Foxworthy's books and album covers.

According to Mediabase, Foxworthy launched The Foxworthy Countdown, a nationally syndicated radio show highlighting the top 30 country hits of the week. Foxworthy Outdoors, a website that sold a collection of Foxworthy-brand hunting and outdoors items, was launched in August 2011. Jeff Foxworthy: Inside & Out, a web series starring some of his colleagues as they chronicle hunting trips, fishing outings, and land conservation on his Georgia farm, is also on the website.

Foxworthy introduced Relative Insanity, a card game similar to Cards Against Humanity with a family theme in 2017. The game was praised by the Family Game Shelf, who said, "it will have you laughing until your sides hurt."
