Jaswinder Singh Bhalla (born 4 May 1960) is an Indian actor and comedian who appears in Punjabi cinema.
He works as an academic at the Punjab Agricultural University.
In 1988, he began his career as a comedian with Chankata 88 and then became an actor in the film Dulla Bhatti.
He is best known for his comedy series Chankatta and comedy roles in numerous Punjabi films.

Pukhraj has appeared in several Chhankata cassettes since 2002, and he has appeared in other Punjabi films as well. Ashpreet Kaur, a Norwegian boy, is married in Norway, has a daughter named Ashpreet Kaur. Balmukund Sharma, who appears as Bhateej in the Chhankata series, is a good friend.
Education and career
He obtained his B.Sc. M.Sc. From Punjab Agricultural University and his Ph.D. from Chaudhry Charan Singh University, Meerut, Meerut. He started his career as an Assistant Professor in PAU and then served as a Professor and Head of the Department of Extension Education when he retired from active service on May 31, 2020.
Comedy career
On Independence Day and Republic Day, Jaswinder Bhalla and two of his classmates were selected for All India Radio in 1975. Jaswinder Bhalla, a student at Punjab Agricultural University, had performed comedies in university departments. He began his career in 1988 with the release of an audio cassette Chhankata 1988. Bal Mukund Sharma, a co-performer, started his career in 1988. Bal Mukund Sharma and Jaswinder Bhalla were both classmates at Punjab Agriculture University. Word Chankata appeared in the PAU's college level annual exhibition by Bhalla and Sharma. While performing in Professor Mohan Singh Mela (cultural festival) on personal support of Punjabi author Jagdev Singh Jassowal, they were noticed by Doordarshan Kendra, Jalandhar. Chankata's collection has more than 27 audio and video albums. Neelu Sharma, as well as Bal Mukund Sharma, has appeared in Chhankata's series.
