Jamie M. Gold (born August 25, 1969) is an American television producer, a talent agent, and poker player, Doug Gold's younger brother, who lives in Malibu, California.
He is best known for winning the 2006 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event and now divides his time between his duties as president of the entertainment company, Buzznation, and poker tournaments, mainly major tournaments.
His 2006 WSOP victory was the fourth largest single payout in poker tournament history.
Early years
Jamie M. Usher was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and he and his mother moved to Manhattan as a young child. Jamie M. Gold's name was later changed by a court order to him following his mother's divorce and remarriage to Dr. Robert Gold. The family lived in Paramus, New Jersey, where Gold was raised by his mother and her second husband. In 1987, he graduated from Paramus High School. He earned a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Albany in 1991 and studied entertainment law at UCLA.
