Jacob Matthew Richardson (born February 20, 1985) is an American actor, currently acting mostly in TV series.
He is perhaps best known for his roles in the film Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves and the TV series Fudge.
Personal life
He was born in Van Nuys, California, the son of Tim and Chris Richardson.
Career
Richardson began acting on the ABC series Fudge in 1995, based on Judy Blume's stories. He appeared in the series The Nanny and as Blade in Problem Child 3: Junior in Love shortly after.
Richardson appeared in Walt Disney Pictures' 1997 classic Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves as Mitch, although he went silent through 1996. He appeared in Toothless, alongside Kirstie Alley, Ross Malinger, and Melanie Mayron. Derek appeared in the independent film "Little Cobras" as Derek. Despite not having a large following, the film was shown at the Cannes Film Festival.
In the 1998 Warner Home Video family film Richie Rich's Christmas Wish, Richardson appeared as Reggie Van Dough. Johnny Morton, a troubled young boy, made an appearance on Heaven 7th as the troubled young boy.
Richardson fulfilled one of his childhood dreams of working with Kevin Smith in 2001 by making a small cameo in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
