Jacques Brautbar Life

Jacques Brautbar (born March 14, 1979) is an American photographer, writer, and guitarist, who was formerly with the rock band Phantom Planet.

After the band's self-titled third album, he left the band in 2004 to pursue a career in photography.

Rolling Stone, Spin, Nylon, Jane, and High Times magazines are among Brautbar's photographic credits. Brautbar returned to music in 2006 and performed with Beck, OK Go, UH HUH HER, Jack's Mannequin, and the experimentala band Something for Rockets.

Brautbar has been writing for Something for Rockets for more than a year and is a co-writer on their second album.

Brautbar has since devolved from the band to investigate musical composition and performance. Brautbar began writing music for film and television in 2008, as well as co-writing with other writers.

Jasmine Ash's latest album Beneath The Noise co-produced and co-wrote it with longtime collaborator and ex bandmate Sam Farrar.

The album has already received sync on several hit TV shows and television commercials such as Nissan, Apple, JC Penney, Macy's, and The Good Wife, as a recent graduate of the University of Southern California's Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program.
