Maria Izadora Ussher Calzado-Wintle (born August 12, 1982) is a Filipino actress, television host, dancer, and model who previously worked as one of GMA Network's homegrown contract artists.

Calzado has signed an exclusive deal with ABS-CBN after ten years.

Calzado has also signed a non-exclusive deal with Star Cinema.

She became one of Booky's top celebrity ambassadors by 2014, with Ben Wintle as the CEO. She received the Yakushi Pearl Award for Best Performance in the Osaka Film Festival in March 2017 for her role in the film Bliss.

Early life

Maria Izadora Ussher Calzado was born in the United States and named after American dancer Isadora Duncan. Lito Calzado, a choreographer and TV producer, was her father. Maria Antonia Ussher was her mother. Dash Calzado, the founder of Legit Misfitz, a 1990s Pinoy rap group, has an elder brother.

Calzado completed elementary education at School of the Holy Spirit and High School at Miriam College. At the University of Santo Tomas, she obtained her undergraduate degree in fine arts.

Personal life

Ben Wintle, a businessman from Calzado, married him in December 2018.

Calzado was hospitalized in the Philippines for the first month of the COVID-19 pandemic epidemic, and it was primarily due to pneumonia. She was positive for the coronavirus disease on March 28 (COVID-19). Noel Ferrer, the hospital's boss, announced on March 30 that she had already tested negative for COVID-19 and that she would be banned from the hospital.

Iza Calzado was a dubber for the Venezuelan television series Mis 3 Hermanas (also known in the Philippines as All My Love).

Calzado made his debut as a guest teen actor on the youth-oriented program Click, which culminated in further roles. Phoebe, the drama's antagonist, was cast in Kung Mawawala Ka. She appeared in her first protagonist role as Rosela in Te Amo, Maging Sino Ka Man, with Argentinean actor Segundo Cernadas. Calzado portrayed Amihan in the hit fantasy drama series Encantadia, starring Sunshine Dizon, Karylle, Diana Zubiri, and Dingdong Dantes; Calzado will keep reprising Amihan's role in the sequels Etheria: Anigina Kaharian ng Encantadia and Encantadia. Pag-ibig Hanggang Wakas. She appeared in Impostora (2006) and All About Eve (2009).

Calzado has appeared in films including Milan (2004), Sigaw (2004), Moments of Love (2006), Batanes: Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan (a 2008 American film remake of Sigaw), and One True Love (2008). She received the "Model Star Award" at the Asia Model Award Festival in South Korea on January 18, 2008. Binibining Pilipinas 2009 beauty pageant hosted her in 2009.

She appeared in the 2019 film Culion with Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Meryll Soriano.

Calzado appeared in Ellice in the drama Ang sa Iyo ay Akin with Jodi Sta in 2020. Maria, Sam Milby, and Maricel Soriano were among Maria's guests. Ang sa Iyo ay Akin's production lasted for almost a year after the ABS-CBN shutdown and franchise ban in the COVID-19 pandemic. Calzado's 39th birthday is announced on August 12, 2021, the day of her 39th birthday, as the film's newest television adaptation Darna stars Jane de Leon.
