Hugo Pratt, born Ugo Eugenio Pratt (June 15, 1927-95), was an Italian comic book designer best known for combining strong storytelling with extensive historical study on works such as Corto Maltese.

In 2005, Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame inducted him. Hugo Pratt formed the so-called Group of Venice in 1946, alongside Fernando Carcupino, Dino Battaglia, and Damiano Damiani.
