Horatio Sanz Life

Horacio Sanz (born June 4, 1969), better known by his stage name Horatio Sanz, is a Chilean-born American actor and comedian.

From 1998 to 2006, he appeared on Saturday Night Live as a cast member.

Early life

Sanz was born in Santiago, Chile, on June 4, 1969, to Sylvia and Carlos Sanz. He is the youngest of three sons and the younger brother of actor Carlos Sanz. He grew up in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood.

Personal life

Sanz made his first public appearance in over a year in November 2008, after having lost 100 pounds (45 kg; 7 st 2 lb). "I've been eating better," Sanz said. "I've been trying to come up with a ruse about how I've lost weight, and I was going to say, 'I stopped putting nuts in my sundaes." "I never weighed myself when I was at my fattest because I was afraid I'd die," says the doctor. Sanz claims he has been working out, as well. He appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in June 2009 and said that a significant part of his weight loss was because he stopped drinking alcoholic beverages.

On July 25, 2018, in Los Angeles, California, he became an American citizen.

A lawsuit was lodged against Sanz on August 12, 2021, alleging sexual assault. When she was under the age of 18, the woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that Sanz would grope her and make sexual remarks toward her. The lawsuit also claims that both Saturday Night Live and NBC allowed him to attend the acts and accuses Sanz of a direct digital assault that allegedly occurred in front of other employees in May 2002. Sanz referred to the allegations as "completely false" by his lawyer, who called them "categorically false."

In April 2022, NBCUniversal filed a motion to dismiss the complaint, arguing that "employers owe no general obligation to shield third-persons from the possibility of sexual assault by their employees." The accuser, Jimmy Fallon, Tracy Morgan, and Lorne Michaels were among the defendants in August 2022, alleging that Sanz's behavior was enabled by the defendants.

'Damning' new book claims Saturday Night Light has a 'toxic' and 'silencing' culture

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 7, 2023
In a brutal behind-the-scenes review, writer and journalist Maun Ryan raises new questions regarding the show's history and leadership. SNL has been described as a decade-long work environment in which 'abuse and toxicity are not only allowed but often celebrated.' The explosive book, which was published on June 6, contains the sexual harassment charges made by a 17-year-old Jane Doe against Horatio Sanz (left), which was settled last fall. Sanz was accused of groomed and sexually assaulted the woman at various SNL afterparties and attempted to include Jimmy Fallon, Tracy Morgan, and Lorne Michaels (right), but both sides agreed not to prosecute the case in November 2022.

According to the accusation, Jimmy Fallon should be convicted of child abuse in Horatio Sanz's child assault case

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 24, 2022
Jimmy Fallon, Tracy Morgan, and Lorne Michaels, according to an unidentified woman suing Horatio Sanz for sexually assaulting her as a 17-year-old, should be named defendants in the lawsuit for assisting in the production. At a party in May 2002, the woman, Sanz, 53, said she carried her to two after-parties and inappropriately kissed her, groped her, and digitally penetrated her. According to her affidavit, she claims the incident occurred while Fallon, Morgan, Seth Meyers, Maya Rudolph, Will Ferrell, and other SNL stars watched.
