She is best known for her appearances in One Day, Jo (2013), Silent Witness (2014), and BBC drama Poldark.
Early and personal life
Reed was born in Iceland, in the middle of three children of a music teacher father and a dental hygienist mother. She grew up in Breidk, Reykjavk, and attended lduselskóli.' Aged 18, she was hired by an Icelandic modeling company and shifted to Mumbai to work as a model in India for two years. She went to London, where she studied drama at Drama Centre London, graduating in 2010.

Acting career
Reed's first appearance was in 2009 in Camus' Cross Purpose's Edinburgh Fringe production. It was "professionally handled and delicately paced" by a Edinburgh Guide reviewer. Reed co-starred in the world premiere of a new play, Scarlet, by Sam H Freeman at Southwark Playhouse, investigating slut-shaming and cyberbullying as well as their emotional consequences.
Reed was in a major role in the British historical television drama Poldark, based on the novels of the same name, and depicted Elizabeth's part. She appeared in all five seasons of the series.
She appeared in Foxfinder with Iwan Rheon in 2018.
