Harris Dickinson Life

Harris Dickinson (born 24 June 1996) is an English actor, writer, and director.

He is best known for his role in Frankie in the 2017 film Beach Rats, for which he was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Young British/Irish Performer of the Year, and for the Gotham Independent Film Award for Breakthrough Actor.

In the first season of the Danny Boyle-helmed FX drama series Trust, Dickinson portrayed kidnapped heir John Paul Getty III.

In the film Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Liam Stewart appeared in the science-fiction film The Darkest Minds (2018) and Prince Phillip (2018).

He will play the leading role in the forthcoming prequel to the Kingsman franchise and is a part of Xavier Dolan's new film Matthias & Maxime, which was part of the official selection at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.

Early life

Dickinson was born in Leytonstone, East London, on June 24, 1996, and grew up in Highams Park. He dropped out of school, where he was hoping to study film and theatre at the age of seventeen. Dickinson almost committed to a career in the Royal Marines before being encouraged by his mentor at RAW Academy in London to return to the theatre.

In Eliza Hittman's film Beach Rats, Dickinson was depicted as Frankie, a young man struggling with his sexuality. Dickinson was described as having "perfected a south Brooklyn accent" as Frankie, according to Times columnist Ed Potton. Dickinson was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead and the Gotham Independent Film Award for Breakthrough Actor for his role.

Dickinson appeared in the FX drama television series Trust as John Paul Getty III in 2018. Gurjin appeared in the Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance in 2019.

Dickinson appeared in the third installment of the Kingsman film series The King's Man in 2021 as Conrad Oxford. He received his first BAFTA Film Award nomination for the EE Rising Star Award because of his role.

He appeared on a cruise in Triangle of Sadness in 2022 as a model. The film premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival and later won the Palme d'Or award. Variety's Peter Debruge wrote about Dickinson "brings a certain vulnerability to the Abercrombie frat-boy model." Dickinson co-starred in Where the Crawdad Sing, a film version of Delia Owens' book of the same name that was released in July to high success in the box office. Dickinson appeared in the FX limited series Retreat in 2022.
