Career
Gilli joined B.O.C., the Danish underground and hip hop group. Bars of Crack, Bombs Over Copenhagen, Bomber Over Centrum, and Bomber Over Centrum were among the rapper and hip hop artists featured in this series, mainly from N'rrebro.
He was in the lead role in 'kte vare,' a film directed by Fenar Ahmad in which he plays Mikael, a Danish boy who grows up in a housing project mainly foreign immigrants. Mikael is making music, as well as a group of childhood friends Tariq, Samir, and Eddy. His talent catches the attention of the seasoned rapper Apollo, who makes Mikael his ghostwriter.
Gilli's musical breakthrough came as a result of the film's release as an EP, kte vain. MellemFingaMuzik, Murro, Kesi, Hjer ye, and Sivas were among the 33-minute EP released on ArtPeople on April 1, 2014. It did well on Spotify and iTunes, and on Hitlisten, the official Danish chart, at number eight. In June 2014, the EP's album "Knokler Hrdt" went platinum on stream.
Gilli is best known for a number of collaborations, including with KESI, Sivas, Kato, Medina, Hjer, hasan shah, and MellemFingaMuzik. On Tracklisten, Denmark's top ten artists chart, his single "C'est la vie" starring MellemFingaMuzik debuted at number 1 on the official Danish singles chart.
