Music career
Ofarim's showbiz career began in May 1997 when he was discovered in a Munich underground station by a talent scout for Bravo magazine and was given the opportunity to do a pictorial story spread. Thousands of letters from fans followed the story, and he's since been given a recording deal with BMG. His first album "Round 'n' Round (It Goes)" was released in November 1997 and became a top 40 hit in Germany. Here I Am, Ofarim's debut album, released in May 1998, was a hit on international television.
Ofarim became disenchanted with being a teen idol after many other hit singles. His 2003 album On My Own, a Neotone Records record, showcased his step in a new musical direction, moving his experiment into the pop rock and adult contemporary genres. Although the album didn't chart, it did produce the single "The Reason" which culminated in a stint as Bon Jovi's opening act on the German leg of their Bounce Tour. Ofarim first dabbled in acting in ProSieben's coming-of-age film Endlich Sex in 2004. Jasmin Schwiers appears in the film "Somo". He played Christoph, the love interest of lead role Saskia, in it. The film received moderate audiences, but critics largely sluggish. Ofarim performed many songs in Endlich Sex, including "In Your Eyes," which was released by Neotone as a single in March 2004.
Ofarim, along with his brother Tal, Roland Söns, and Dominik Scholz, joined the rock band Zoo Army in 2005. In the first half of 2006, they unveiled their first single "I'm Alive" and their first album 507. He appeared in the RTL two-part television drama Storm Tide, a fictionalized ensemble story based on the events surrounding the 1962 North Sea flood. The film, which stars a cast of bankable television stars like Jan Josef Liefers and Götz George, has received mainly critical praise and high ratings. Ofarim appeared in the American b movie Strip Mind, which opened in Germany on January 3rd 2007. Critics who slammed the psychological thriller were mostly dismissive of its casting, pacing, and the "horrible" synchronization. The following year, Disney hired him to film "So nah," Jon McLaughlin's "So Close" from Enchanted (2007), as well as "Mehr als du seh'n können," a re-written version of Rufus Wainwright's "Meh'n Teh," a computer-animated science fiction comedy film Meet the Robinsons (2007).
Ofarim appeared in an episode of the children's television series Ein Fall for B.A.R.Z. Acht, his Oswin Ottl, Petros Kontos, and Andy Lind formed his own rock band the same year. Stell dir vor, their debut album, which was released in German and released in 2010, reflected a new domestic-marketing strategy. During Alex Band's European tour, the quartet aided the American singer throughout his European tour. Ofarim had appeared in the ZDF crime television series Ein starkes Team as a guest in 2020. Ofarim appeared on the second season of The Voice of Germany in October 2012. In the season's quarterfinals, coach Xavier Naidoo was disqualified. "Iris" (1998) and Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror") were among the first chart debuts in a decade.
Ofarim appeared in and broadcast on Das Erste in 2013. In 2017, he appeared in the German television series Let's Dance and emerged champion with his dance partner Ekaterina Leonova. On August 1, 2019, he was announced to be the Grasshopper on The Masked Singer, where he had been ranked as the runner-up.
