George Bernard Spartels (born 25 April 1954) is an Australian actor, producer, and children's musician of Greek descent on his father's genealogy, as well as English and Irish on his mother's side.
He's best known for his role on Neighbours, a television showdown, starring family patriarch Benito Alessi, two brothers and actress Elspeth Ballantyne, as a new family, first appearance on the Blakeney brothers, as the Alessi family of Italian descent, joining already cast cousins, the Blakeney sisters. Spartels also served as a children's television host, having spent 14 years on ABC's Play School from 1985 to 1999.
Other responsibilities include: Cop Shop in 1978, Prisoner 1979, Punishment in 1981, and Blackfinger in the film Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome (1985), alongside Mel Gibson and Tina Turner.
