Career

Wales, a striker, began his career at Hamilton. He scored 11 goals in 35 games before transferring to Hearts for £50,000. Wales scored 17 goals in 92 appearances over five years at Tynecastle. He was then sent out on loan to Walsall, scoring once against Nottingham Forest before signing for Gillingham (scoring once against Coventry City) and then Kilmarnock, where he was reunited with former Hearts boss Jim Jefferies.

Wales signed a short-term contract with Raith Rovers after leaving Kilmarnock in the summer of 2008. Wales has decided to become a regular goalcorer. With Raith winning the Scottish Second Division championship in April 2009, Wales left the team to search for a chance in Australia. Wales joined North Queensland Fury on their pre-season tour of Singapore towards the end of May 2009.
