Gary Michael "Gard" Clayton (born March 19, 1991) is an American actor and singer.
He is best known for his role as Tanner in the 2013 Disney Channel film Teen Beach 2 and its sequel Teen Beach 2, as well as other film, television, and stage roles.
Personal life
Clayton declared himself gay in 2018 and he has been in a long-term relationship with boyfriend Blake Knight since 2011. Clayton and Knight had engaged a year before in January 2019. The couple married in Los Angeles in September 2021 at an outdoor, garden party theme, which was attended by Clayton's King Cobra co-star Alicia Silverstone.
Life and career
Clayton was born in Dearborn, Michigan. He began performing in several of the drama club's productions at Crestwood High School in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. He later attended Oakland University, where he concentrated on musical theater.
In 2010, he appeared on Days of Our Lives and Shake It Up. Blake, a teen boy forced to live with his father after his mother was killed in a car crash in December 2012, appeared in Lifetime's Holiday Spin, co-starring Ralph Macchio.
