Tennis career
In 2011, Abanda advanced to the third round of the junior US Open in singles. She was disqualified in the third round of the junior French Open singles and in doubles in May 2012. In both singles and doubles, she failed in the semifinals of the junior Wimbledon in June 2012. In July, she played and won her first competitive match at the $25k tournament in Granby, defeating world No. 2 Bob.
