Career

At the age of five, Cate converted proffession, independent films, advertisements, and other projects. In addition, he appears in "Song to Say Goodbye" in Placebo's music video.

He appeared on several television shows, including Without a Trace and Cold Case. His most notable work on ABC's Pushing Daisies was as Young Ned, becoming a regular cast member in season 2 and winning a Young Artist Award nomination in 2008.

Cate, who was raised as a vegetarian, spoke out on behalf of animal rights group PETA. He has worked with organizations such as Mattel Children's Hospital and served as a StarPower Ambassador for Starlight Children's Foundation.

Fencer's first EP came out in May 2017; with the addition of a music video for their single "Junebug" in February 2019. Growing Up Selfish, the band's second EP, was released on November 1st, 2019.
