Fern Britton (born 17 July 1957) is an English television presenter and author.
On BBC One, she came to national prominence when she starred Ready Steady Cook between 1994 and 2000.
She appeared on ITV's This Morning from 1999 to 2009.
She appeared in Strict Come Dancing, where she was paired with professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev in 2012.

Early life and education
Tony Britton and his first wife, Ruth Hawkins, were born in Ealing, London. She attended Dr Challoner's High School in Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire, and the Central School of Speech and Drama, where she trained in stage management.
Personal life
Clive Jones, the British television executive, was the subject of Britton's first marriage. The couple met when Jones was still married and starting an affair. After leaving his wife for her, Britton called off their affair after a year, but Jones turned up on her doorstep two days later. The couple married in Southsea on November 12 1988 and had three children together: twin brothers Jack and Harry (born 1994) and Grace (born 1997). Soon after the birth of their daughter, her mother's marriage to Jones broke down, and the couple divorced in January 1998. After being on the set of BBC Two's Ready Steady Cook a year later, Britton began dating celebrity chef Phil Vickery. They married in spring 2000 after her divorce was finalized. The couple have a daughter, Winnie (born August 2001), and they have properties in Buckinghamshire and Cornwall. They announced on Twitter on January 29, 2020, that after 20 years of marriage, they would be separating.
Career
Britton began her broadcasting career in Plymouth with Westward Television, the then-incumbent ITV regional company, as a continuity announcer and newsreader on the weeknight's local bulletin Westward Diary. After Westward's franchise ended at the end of 1981, Britton joined Spotlight in the South West as a host, before launching BBC One's Breakfast Time, where she became the BBC's youngest-ever national news presenter. During this time, she served as a stand-in co-presenter on News After Noon.
Britton worked for televisions in Southampton, co-presenting the South edition of the news program Coast to Coast with Fred Dinenage, as well as Coast to Coast People, Magic Moments, and That's Gardening's host. She stayed until TVS' franchise ended in December 1992.
She appeared on London News Network's London Tonight in January 1993 before moving to GMTV in April 1993 to anchor the post-9:00 am slot, Top of the Morning. In 1994, Britton returned to Carlton Television to host After Five. She appeared in the first two series of The Brian Conley Exhibition.
