Kathryn Felicia Day (born June 28, 1979) is an American actor, writer, and web series producer.

She is the creator, writer, and producer of the original web series The Guild (2007–2013), a series loosely based on her life as a gamer.

She has also appeared in Dragon Age: Redemption (2011), a web series based on Dragon Age: Redemption (2011).

Day was a member of the International Academy of Web Television's board of directors from January 2009 to the end of July 2012. She appeared in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (2003) and Dr. (2003) on television.

Holly Marten in Euka (2011) and appeared on Supernatural as Charlie Bradbury (2012–2018).

She has appeared in films including Bring It On Again (2004), as well as the Internet animated Dr. Judith.

Early life

In Huntsville, Alabama, Day was born. She began her acting career as Scout in a local production of To Kill a Mockingbird at the age of 7. She studied operatic singing and ballet professionally, appearing at national and international festivals. She began college at the age of 16, having been home-schooled through much of her childhood.

She was a National Merit Scholar (1995) and graduated as the valedictorian of her class. Day had been accepted to the Juilliard School of Music but had opted to attend the University of Texas in Austin on a full scholarship in violin performance. She double-majored mathematics and music performance and graduated at the age of 19 in the top 4% of her class. She is also a huge fan of a variety of video game genres. A large amount of her work on The Guild web series was based on her personal experience with video games, particularly when she first played World of Warcraft.

Personal life

Day revealed on social media that she was pregnant and expecting a baby girl in a few weeks. On January 30, 2017, she announced her daughter's birth.

Day departed Los Angeles after graduation to pursue a career in acting. In addition to short and independent films, as well as commercials and guest spots on television shows, including Undeclared and Maybe It's Me, she has appeared in several short and independent films, as well as commercials and guest spots on television shows. These parts propelled her to bigger roles: a role in the film Bring It On Again, the starring role in June, and a recurring guest appearance on television's Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a recurring role that is still used in the show's eighth season comic book series. When her wheelchair-using character serenaded a dinner party with "I Won't Dance," she was included in HBO's 2005 biopic of Franklin D. Roosevelt, Warm Springs, Day's singing was highlighted.

Day is the creator, writer, and actor of The Guild, a web series that aired from 2007 to 2013 and explored the MMORPG gaming subculture. The first season was mainly distributed on YouTube, where it attracted millions of viewers. After Microsoft agreed to a contract with The Guild, Day, her cast, and her crew were paid for their services, it was announced on Microsoft's three major video channels, Xbox Live, MSN Video, and The Zune Marketplace.

The cast also created "Do You Want A Date My Avatar," a song and music video that featured the cast as their in-game personae. The final moments of the music video itself were so long that the third season of Day's The Guild's third season will be released on August 25, 2009. "Game On" a second song and Bollywood style video was released prior to the premiere of The Guild's fourth season. The cast members of an alternative band performing in a local venue are intercut with scenes of their characters being bullying by younger "cooler" and more popular children while at school in this third and final music video.

In the Dragon Age II downloadable content Mark of the Assassin, Day plays Tallis, a human being who appears as the voice and likeness for the character.

Day revealed in January 2012 that she would be hosting Valiant Fantasy, a Google+ Hangout. Kiala Kazebee, Veronica Belmont, and Bonnie Burton were among the Hangout's featured people on the day. Every month, they wrote about lady-leaning paranormal and historical adventure books. Day guest appeared in Sean "Day [9]" Plott's online webcast starring Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning in February 2012.

In April 2012, it was announced that Day would host the 2012 IndieCade Awards Ceremony on October 4, 2012. Day debuted on YouTube as a Norwegian Black Metal singer named Gorgol in April of this year. Husbands, Jane Espenson scripted web series, starred her guest. She appeared on The Game Station podcast in October 2012 and appeared in an episode of My Drunk Kitchen.

With a Felicia Day Guild Goddess card, Geek & Sundry and Atlas Games collaborated on a promotional pack for the card game Gloom for TableTop Day 2013! On June 30, 2018, a Texas nonprofit, Day organized and hosted a Twitch charity livestream in aid of the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES). Over $212,000.00 was raised in just over 12 hours on the 12-hour livestream.
