He is the grandson of actor Gregory Peck and his first wife, Greta Kukkonen, who was born in Finland.
Personal life
Stephen Peck, the son of an actor, documentary filmmaker, and Vietnam war veteran who is president and CEO of the United States Veterans Initiative—and abstract artist Francine Matarazzo, was born and raised in Los Angeles, Peck. Greta Kukkonen, Gregory Peck's grandson and Finnish wife, is the grandson. Peck attended private schools in Campbell Hall and Harvard-Westlake in Studio City. He excelled in athletics and learned to play classical cello.
Marisa Matarazzo, a novelist and creative writing professor at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, has half-sisters from his mother's second marriage.
Peck began attending the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he worked in the Experimental Theater Wing for three years before moving to pursue his acting career.
Career
In That '70s Show, Peck appeared as a young actor, including a younger Michael Kelso (played by Ashton Kutcher) on television. In his first film role at age 9, he co-starred in the made-for-TV film Marshal Law as the son of Jimmy Smits' character. He appeared in Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen's 1999 film Passport to Paris, and was Mary-Kate Olsen's first on-screen kiss.
In the film Adopt a Sailor, Peck co-starred Adam Rothenberg and Mariah Carey, as well as a co-starring role opposite Peter Coyote and Bebe Neuwirth. At the 2009 Sonoma International Film Festival, he was named "Best Actor" for his role as "Sailor" in the film "Sailor."
He appeared on ABC Family's 10 Things I Hate About You from 2009 to 2010.
Peck appeared in Prince Maxon's pilot version of the famous book The Selection in 2012, but Michael Malarkey later replaced him. Neither the first nor the second pilot was chosen to go to series.
