Eric Buyse (born 27 March 1940 in Lauwe) is a Belgian former footballer.
In a later stage of his career, he served as a left-footed forward and midfielder. Buyse spent the majority of his time with Cercle Brugge, a happy period.
In 1961, he gained his second division and a third division in 1968.
He was also the top scorer of the team and has scored the 10th most goals for Cercle as of today. Buyse began as a player-coach of VG Oostende in the 1970-71 season, after being fired in the green and black Bruges.
Buyse served as coach until 1976, then spent the next four years with West Flanders' lower league team Excelsior Zedelgem. Buyse returned to Cercle Brugge after his playing career.
