Emma Life

Tenille Averil Dashwood (born 1 March 1989) is an Australian professional wrestler.

She is currently registered under Impact Wrestling's real name and also competes on the independent circuit, and has been active on Impact Wrestling.

Dashwood is best known for her time in WWE under the ring name Emma from 2012 to 2017.

She was the first female Australian wrestler to be signed in WWE and was involved in the NXT division, as well as on Raw and SmackDown television.

She also gained notoriety for her time in Ring of Honor. When she was 13 years old, she began training in Australia for wrestling.

Dashwood went to Canada in 2008 and 2011 to work at the Storm Wrestling Academy.

She competed in Australia and North America on the independent circuit for promotions including Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling and Shimmer Women Athletes under the ring name Tenille Tayla before being signed to WWE.

Early life

Dashwood was born and raised in Boronia, Victoria, a suburb of Melbourne. Jake, her older brother, was introduced to professional wrestling, is her sister. Stone Cold Steve Austin, Trish Stratus, and Lita are among her wrestling inspirations. Dustin Rhodes appeared in 1997 and 2002, she met Stratus on the WWE World Warning Tour: Melbourne.

Personal life

Dashwood was arrested in Hartford, Connecticut, on June 30, 2014. She returnedstage but did not appear on the episode of Raw that aired live that night. She was released after she promised to appear at Hartford Community Court, which she did the following day. When using a self-checkout machine for her purchase at a Walmart, she forgot to pay for an iPad case, according to her counsel. Bryan Alvarez and Sean Ross Sapp met with loss prevention executives at Walmart who later reported that Dashwood paid for her purchase, except for the one that incorrectly scanned item. The employees slammed the detention, arguing that the clerk should have just told her that one item was not properly checked in instead, particularly considering the low price of the forgotten commodity. After being refused a one-day of community service and an online course, she was fined by the court. WWE initially announced Dashwood but later changed their decision within a few hours, after learning of her demise sparked such outrage among WWE followers.

Dashwood revealed in August 2018 that she has battled the autoimmune disease psoriasis since she was 14 years old. During her tour in Australia and New Zealand in July 2018, a bad flare up ensued, resulting in her wrestling in pain the next week. Dashwood explained that her biggest fear in the case was that she would not be able to fulfill her dream of becoming a professional wrestler. In an interview, Dashwood said that even though she was initially reluctant to reveal her illness, it was still important that people know they are not alone with the disease and that there is no reason to be worried about it.

Dashwood revealed on August 4, 2022, that she is dating American professional wrestler and current WWE superstar Michael Rallis, who is best known for his ring names Riddick Moss and Madcap Moss.

A repackage vignette was displayed on the 3rd episode of Raw on October 3, 2016, hinting at a "makeover of Emma to Emmalina." The following weeks, WWE continued to showcase the vignettes of her impending return. Journalist Dave Meltzer said in late 2016 and again in early 2017 that the vignettes are simply a running inside joke and that "there's no place prepared for her" on television. According to reports, the Emmalina gimmick was cancelled due to WWE producers' concern that Dashwood could not be portrayed in the way they wanted to show it, which was to be a throwback to Sable and The Kat's likes. The Emmalina character appeared on Raw's episode in February 2017 but only to announce "the makeover from Emmalina to Emma."

Emma was seen on Raw's 3rd episode as her new villainous persona. In a losing bid, Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax played alongside Brooke, Sasha Banks, and Bayley. Emma teamed up with Jax on September 4th to earn spots for herself and Jax in the Raw Women's Championship match at No Mercy, her first pay per view match since the 2014 Survivor Series. She was dissatisfied with the event after Bliss pinned the returning Bayley.

Emma defeated Sasha Banks, Alicia Fox, Bayley, and Dana Brooke in an elimination game on Monday to earn the right to face Asuka in a playoff match on TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, where she lost via submission. Emma, who was furious over her death, vowed to face Asuka to rematch. Emma was defeated by Asuka in her last match in WWE on September 23rd.
