Elmer Figueroa Arce (born June 28, 1968), better known as Chayanne, is a Puerto Rican Latin pop singer and actor.
Chayanne has released 21 solo albums and has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide. In two Puerto Rican novels published by the well-known Wapa TV television station as for the 1980s, she appeared in two Puerto Rican novels.

Early life
Quintino Figueroa, a sales manager, and his mother, Irma Luz Arce, a teacher, who died on April 17, 2014, after a long battle against cancer. He is the third of five siblings. His mother gave him the nickname "Cheyanne" in honor of his admiration for the 1950s American television series Cheyenne.
He auditioned for Menudo in the late 1970s but the producers informed him he was too young to be involved in the company. He was a member of Los Chicos, and the group "Puerto Rico Son Los Chicos" and "Ave Maria" were among their hits songs, including "Puerto Rico Son Los Chicos" and "Ave Maria."
