Atlanta United beat Columbus Crew 4-2 to keep their MLS playoff hopes alive and extend their best-of-three sequence to a deciding game

www.dailymail.co.uk, November 8, 2023
Atlanta United beat the Columbus Crew 4-2 on Tuesday in Match 2 of a best-of-three Eastern Conference first-round playoff series, with Giorgos Giakoumakis scoring and picking up two assists. The deciding match will be played in Columbus, Ohio, where the Crew won the opener 2-0 on Nov. 1. In the 38th minute, the Giakoumakis gave Atlanta a 1-0 lead. Cucho Hernandez fought it in the 45th minute before Giakoumakis set up Xande Silva for the go-ahead shot in the fourth minute of first-half stoppage time, before being greeted by Edwin Mosquera for a goal in the 83rd minute for a 3-1 lead.

Franco Ibarra, a midfielder for Atlanta United, has joined Toronto FC as the 'worst' team in MLS

www.dailymail.co.uk, July 8, 2023
Franco Ibarra, a starter for Atlanta United, has been loaned out to Toronto FC, and the 22-year-old is tuming over the change. Ibarra has appeared in 15 of Atlanta's 21 games this season, including in midfield, indicating that he has carved out a key role for a team in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. The Argentine has been sent to Toronto to help with the return of Colombian winger Edwin Mosquera from loan because of Ibarra's status as a U-22 initiative player, of which only three players are allowed on the MLS roster.
