Career

Kellum made his first major appearance in 2012 when he was cast in Ben and Kate (then titled Ben Fox Is My Manny) as Tommy, the iconic character Ben (Nat Faxon). In NBC's Sean Saves the World starring Sean Hayes and Megan Hilty, following Ben and Kate, Kellum was cast as Hunter.

In the fourth season of The CW drama series Arrow, Kellum was cast in the recurring role of Curtis Holt, based on the DC Comics character Mister Terrific. Holt, a technological savant and entrepreneur who began working at Palmer Technologies under Felicity Smoak's direction, later became a member of Team Arrow. In the Arrow spin-off film Legends of Tomorrow, Kellum went on to portray the character. Kellum will be promoted to series regular for Arrow's fifth season in April 2016. During the show's seventh season in 2019, Kellum completed the series. In Arrow's last season, he appeared in two episodes.

Madsen, a beat poet and a co-worker of Bob Odenkirk's character, appeared in Netflix's Girlfriend's Day in 2017.

On the Disney Channel animated film Elena of Avalor, Kellum plays "King Joaqun." Rick and Morty's adult swim animated film also stars him.
