On September 22, 2006, he took the Ateneo vs. UST championship's most popular Game 1 winning shot. His team won game 1 and then went on to lose Games 2 and 3 to eventual champions, UST.

Professional career

Kramer set a career high in rebounding twice while being with Air21 for the last two games with them before Rain or Shine was traded for him. In 23 minutes against his former team, Ginebra, on June 20, 2010, he had 16 points and 17 rebounds in 23 minutes. In 33 minutes against Rain or Shine on July 4, 2010, then had 17 points and 17 rebounds.

He then set his highest point on his first game with Rain or Shine on October 6, 2010, when he scored 19 points.

Kramer's second appearance with Rain or Shine, only behind import Hassan Adams, led his team in scoring and rebounding among all locals at the end of eliminations on April 6, 2011. In only 23.33 minutes per game, he averaged 9.56 points and 7.67 percent. This will be his best conference averages in his PBA career.

Kramer, who was traded to the Powerade Tigers from his former club Rain or Shine, made his 8th appearance as a Tiger, winning 20 rebounds against the Talk and Text Tropang Texters on Nov. 9, 2011. Despite the fact that his team lost during the game, it was his all-time best in rebounding since playing college, amateur, and professional basketball.

Kramer accumulated a career best 9 double doubles (which included 6 straight double doubles) against Petron, and his career best 20 rebounds against Talk and Text were his best 20 points in 2011-2012 PBA Philippine Cup 14-game Eliminations, with conference highs of 18 points against Petron and career best 20 rebounds against Talk and Text.

His 9 double doubles are the second most for the conference, second behind Arwind Santos, who has 11 double doubles.

During the All-Filipino conference, he averaged a double double with 11.64 points/game and 10.57 rebounds/game in 30.79 minutes/contest, both of which were career highs in averages. With a score of.5 percent, he was also the sixth best in the league in 2-point field goal percentages. Kramer had his 10.57 points/game, second best in total rebounds hauled down with 148, his third best in Rebounding.

During that season, Kramer was the top scorer for the Powerade Tigers and the number one rebounder for his team.

There were just 4 players who averaged double doubles during the whole 2011–12 Philippine Cup 14-game eliminations. Arwind Santos, Harvey Carey, Jay R Reyes, and Doug Kramer.

Doug Kramer, a member of the PBA Philippines, played 28 games for the Powerade team until Game 5 of the Finals against the eventual champion team, Talk and Text, who defeated them 4-1 in the series. During that season, Doug Kramer set his all-time record in rebounds, when he hauled down 23 boards during Game 3 of the Philippine Cup finals on Jan. 12, 2012. During that season, he would record his best 18 double doubles in the league, while still leading the league in total rebounds hauled down by 303, No. With 101, No. 1, the offensive rebounds were the first in total offensive rebounds. 1 in total defensive rebounds with 202, and with 10.82 rebounds/game for the 28 games that Powerade played, he would place his 2nd best average in the league. He also averaged 11.32 points/game to get a double double through the entire 2011–12 Philippine Cup Conference.

After spending 2 conferences with Powerade, Doug Kramer will be recalled to the Barako Energy Cola team on May 4, 2012. He would be traded for Jondan Salvador and a 2nd round pick. It was the second big trade for the Powerade team as rumors of them that they would trade their marquee players before selling their brand to a new company were circulating. Barako signed him with a three-year deal extension, which was rumored to be more than 12 million pesos.

Doug will play his first game as a Barako Bull player on May 25, 2012.

He would finish the 2011–12 PBA Season on a high note, with his second best rebounding average of 8.77 on 48 games played, only behind Arwind Santos' 10.67. With 279 total defensive rebounds for the 2nd most in the league, 142 total offensive rebounds for the third most in the league and 3rd most in total rebounds with 421, he would finish with 279 for second most in total rebounds. He will also score 9.54 points/game for his career. With 22 points, they are the second most double double doubles for the season. He concluded his career with accolades from the Most Improved Player award (his second straight nomination) and the Mythical 5 All-Defensive team, bringing together his best season in a row. For the 1st time in his career, he will win the trophy for being a member of the All-Defensive team.

Doug was the 2nd best in the rebounding average during the 2012-2013 Philippine Cup 14-game eliminations with 10.43 rebounds/game.
