Life and career

Lasers were invented in Kiel, Germany. Prof. Otto Blaettchen of Lexx, Prof. Jeanette Sharpe in The Human Centipede (Final Sequence) and Bill Boss in The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence) he was known to English speaking audiences for his role as Mantrid in Lexx, Prof. Otto Blaettchen in The Ogre, Dr. Josef Blaettchen in The Human Centipede (First Sequence) and Bill Bos

In 1975, he was named with the German Film Award in the category of Best Actor for his role in John Glückstadt.

Several crew members and leading actors also described Laser as a method actor during the filming of The Human Centipede. He did not talk to the cast often and would remain in character as long as he possibly could. After being impressed with Laser's work in some of his earlier films, director Tom Six cast him. Laser was named for the Best Actor at the Austin Fantastic Fest in 2010 and was nominated for the Los Angeles Scream Awards for Best Villain. Since refusing to play the role at first, he returned for the final installment of the franchise.

Laser appeared in the Estonian fantasy film November (shot November 2015). Due to appointment conflicts in the development of Sky Sharks, Dieter Laser, and Fuse Box Films, a separation was made on January 15, 2016.
