Early life
Soares was born to a middle-class family in Bandra, Maharashtra. Her family never had any relation with the modelling world. After having schooling at Bombay, she pursued her education from St. Xaviers. Madhu Sapre was the former Indian model who inspired Soares in modelling.
Personal life
Diandra was in a relationship with Gautam Gulati during her stay inside the Bigg Boss house. In 2016, Diandra is making a web series called 'Do It Like Diandra'.
Modelling career
Soares has been involved in modeling since the age of 16. Tips and Toes was her first show, and McDowell's was her first performance. Miss Bombay was crowned in 1995, and it helped her to gain employment with a number of top companies such as Dinesh Suitings, VIP Lingeries, and Tillsbury whiskey. She has appeared in several international fashion shows throughout her career, including Gucci, Leonard Paris, Emanuel Ungaro, Sonia Rykiel, and the Miami Fashion Show.

Media career
Soares appeared on the popular celebrity stunt show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi for its fourth season in 2011. She became one of the most popular contestants and finished as the first runner up. Soares became a contestant on the Indian television reality show Bigg Boss in its eighth season, which premiered on Colors in September 2014. On December 14, 2014, she was evicted after 12 weeks (Day 84). Diandra created 'Do It Like Diandra' in 2016.
