David Rocco Life

David Rocco (born July 27, 1970) is a Canadian executive writer, best-selling author, celebrity chef, and host of several internationally syndicated television shows.

He is best known for producing and presenting David Rocco's Dolce Vita, as well as publishing four books including David Rocco's Dolce Vita, Made in Italy, and David Rocco's Dolce Famiglia.

He went to India in 2013 to shoot David Rocco's Dolce India, which gained international recognition on the National Geographic Network.

Early life

David Rocco was born in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada (later part of Toronto) to parents who immigrated to Canada from Naples, Italy in the 1950s. Both hairdressers, and Rocco is the youngest of three children. In high school, Rocco and his family migrated to Woodbridge, Ontario, where he met his future wife Nina Rocco. Emma, Giorgia, and Dante are three children of the couple.

Rocco has been featured in numerous newspapers and magazines, including The Globe and Mail, The National Post, En Route, Food & Drink, and Chatelaine, and Flare Magazine, one of "Canada's Top ten Style Makers." In addition, regular guest appearances on Global, CTV, and CBC television, as well as nationally syndicated food competition programs such as Top Chef Canada and Iron Chef America, are among the many popular food competition shows.
