EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Society pays tribute to late philanthropist Julia Rausing, wife of Tetra Pak heir, at 'moving' cathedral service

RICHARD EDEN: The 'cruel' loss of billionaire philanthropist Hans Rausing's second wife, Julia, was mourned by friends and family at a 'very moving' memorial service at St James's, Piccadilly. Art expert Julia died in April aged 63 following a lengthy battle with cancer . Tetra Pak heir Hans's first wife, Eva, died from drug abuse in 2012. 'Life is very cruel,' Julia's friend Daphne Guinness (left) tells me. 'In Hans, she found a loving and kind husband, in a triumphant and romantic marriage.' Other mourners included the Queen's first husband, Andrew Parker Bowles (centre), and TV's Trinny Woodall (right).
The 'secret weapon' behind Princess Beatrice's glow-up: Thirteen years after THAT headpiece, she's been voted best-dressed royal thanks to Kate's favourite labels and a stylist extraordinaire

In an incredible turnaround, Princess Beatrice has been crowned this year's best-dressed person by Tatler magazine, which described her as a 'beacon of sartorial elegance, pairing vintage-inspired cuts with fresh-from-the-catwalk glamour'. So, what is the secret behind the rise?
RICHARD EDEN: Daphne Guinness, 56, is writing a memoir about her wild life from being taken hostage by a violent schizophrenic at five to bullied in school due to a fascist relative and becoming the most colourful character in fashion

RICHARD EDEN: This should be a best-seller: Daphne Guinness, the most colourful character in fashion, is putting pen to paper. 'I am writing a memoir,' confirms the brewing heiress, who was a muse to the late designer Karl Lagerfeld. Guinness, 56, is the daughter of Lord Moyne and granddaughter of the late Diana Mitford. 'My grandmother was the closest thing I had to a mother,' she says of Mitford, the socialite who married Fascist leader Sir Oswald Mosley (seen right, with Mitford). 'I loved her, and I have an uncanny resemblance to her physically.'
