Danielle Fishel (born May 5, 1981) is an American actress, producer, model, and television presenter.
She began her career in theatre, appearing in community productions The Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan.

Early life
Fishel was born in Mesa, Arizona, the daughter of Jennifer, a personal assistant, and Rick Fishel, the former President of Masimo Corporation. She is of partial Maltese descent. In 1999, she graduated from Calabasas High School in Calabasas, California.
Personal life
Fishel began attending California State University, Fullerton, at age 27, graduating in 2013. She became a math tutor during her undergraduate years, leading her to meet fellow student Tim Belusko. She became engaged to Belusko in May 2012 after more than three years of dating. They married in Los Angeles on October 19, 2013. Jonathan Taylor Thomas, a Savage and Home Improvement cast member, was expected to attend her Los Angeles wedding. In May 2016, it was revealed that she had filed for divorce in 2015. In March 2016, the divorce was final.
Jensen Karp revealed that he was dating Fishel on July 4, 2017, shortly after the end of episode #303 of his podcast Get Up On This. Fishel and Karp were engaged on March 22, 2018. They married on November 4, 2018. In January 2019, Fishel and Karp announced that they were expecting their first child in July 2019. Fishel and Karp reported on Instagram on July 1, 2019, almost a month before, a baby was born in June 2019. Fishel's second child, a son, was born in August 2021.
Career
Fishel was discovered in 1991, at the age of 10, in a community theater where she appeared in two productions, The Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan. She quickly moved to do voice-overs and advertisements, including several as a Barbie Girl for Mattel. Jennifer appeared on two episodes of the hit show Full House shortly after, with a guest starring as a character named Jennifer. Jessica appeared on Harry and the Hendersons, as well as a small part. Fishel's mother became her full-time boss.
Fishel began her role as Topanga Lawrence-Matthews on ABC's Boy Meets World in 1993. Topanga became a regular fixture after being originally written as a small part. Fishel became a show regular after a fruitful first year. Fishel's character was a sparky, intelligent teenager who was mature beyond her years; she replaced Stuart Minkus as the class's brains. After seven years, the show came to an end in 2000.

Fishel appeared on The Tyra Banks Show in 2006, where she discussed her dramatic weight loss using the Nutrisystems Diet. Fishel became Nutrisystem's spokeswoman after her appearance on the show. She became also a special reporter for The Tyra Banks Show, beginning in early February 2007. She had shed some of the weight by 2010, but told People magazine that she could not maintain her Nutrisystem weight.

Louis Gossett Jr., Keith David, M. Emmet Walsh, and John Heard appear in the film. Fishel portrays an ordinary college girl, naive about bigotry and unaware of its existence. Since the Internet, she appeared in Clapping for the Wrong Causes, a short film to promote Childish Gambino's second studio album.
Fishel reprised her role as Topanga Lawrence-Matthews in the Boy Meets World spin-off series Girl Meets World in 2014. Topanga and her Boy Meets World love interest Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) married in their adult years with two children when the series premiered on Disney Channel on June 27, 2014. As Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and her companion, Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), enter middle school and try to navigate through life, the series follows her. Topanga resigned from a job offer that would have relocated the family to London and out of New York by January 20, 2017.
