Milton Mamet, who appeared in AMC's The Walking Dead's third season (2012-2013), Eliot Delson on Unfortunted, and Owen Cavanaugh on The Good Wife, are two of his acts.

Early life and education

Roberts was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where he attended Paul Revere Middle School and Robert E. Lee High School. He enrolled in Sarasota High School in 1988 and attended State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota. Roberts was accepted to the Juilliard School in New York City in 1990, where he graduated in 1994 as a member of the Drama Division's Group 23.

Personal life

Roberts is married to scenic designer Christine Jones, and the couple has two sons.

Career

Roberts is primarily based in New York City, where he appears in theatrical performances often. He has appeared in Burn This, opposite Edward Norton and Catherine Keener; in Adam Rapp's Nocturne; and later in Caryl Churchill's A Number, opposite Sam Shepard and later Arliss Howard, among other things.

Among Roberts' film work are screen adaptations of Michael Cunningham's A Home at the End of the World, as well as supporting roles in Walk the Line and The Notorious Bettie Page. He appeared on Showtime's The L Word on a regular basis. Miles Fiedler, a brilliant intelligence analyst at a national think tank, appeared in the AMC's original series Rubicon. Owen was Alicia Florrick's (Julianna Margulies) gay brother in twelve episodes of The Good Wife. In addition, he has appeared on numerous occasions on Law & Order and its spinoff, as well as the Special Victims Unit. He also appeared in a crossover arc between SVU and Chicago, P.D. Gregory Yates, a serial murderer on the Chicago Fire, was on display in the Chicago Fire as a serial murderer.

Roberts appeared on The Walking Dead from August 2012 to March 2013, as scientist Milton Mamet, who studies "walkers" (zombies). He appeared on Unfortable from 2013 to 2015.
