Dakota Meyer Life

Dakota Louis Meyer (born June 26, 1988) is a United States Marine.

The Medal of Honor was given to a veteran of Afghanistan's Battle of Ganjgal on September 8, 2009, in Kunar Province, Afghanistan.

Meyer is the second-oldest living Medal of Honor recipient, the third in Afghanistan for either the Iraq war or the War, as well as the first living US Marine in 38 years to be so lauded.

Early life and education

Meyer was born and raised in Columbia, Kentucky, as the son of Felicia Carole Ferree "Killy" Gilliam and Michael Allen Meyer. After graduating from Green County High School in 2006, he joined the United States Marine Corps at a recruiting station in Louisville, Kentucky, and completed boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island.

Personal life

Cassandra Wain was married in Campbellsville, Kentucky, on May 17, 2008. In 2010, they were divorced.

Meyer became engaged to Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, on March 13, 2015. The Palin family's wedding on May 18 had been postponed until May 18. Palin revealed that she was pregnant for the second time on June 25. On December 23, she gave birth to a daughter.

People reported on January 6, 2016, that Meyer was the child's biological father, and that Meyer had filed legal papers requesting joint legal and physical custody of the newborn and child care from Palin. Palin and Meyer also reached an interim joint legal and physical custody deal in March. Palin and Meyer married on May 23, exactly one year after they were supposed to have wed. Palin revealed in December that she was expecting her third child, her second with Meyer.

She gave birth to a daughter on May 8, 2017.

Meyer filed for divorce on January 29, 2018, citing a "conflict of personalities" as the cause. Palin announced on August 1 that her Meyer divorce was finalized.

Sarah Palin's attempt to make a political comeback has ended, with the 58-year-old governor of Alaska losing to Democrat rival Mary Peltola - the first Alaska Native to serve in the House. Peltola had 51.5 percent at the time of the election, with Palin having 48.5 percent. Peltola tweeted on Wednesday evening, 'It's a GOOD DAY,' Peltola posted on Wednesday evening, reminding her followers that the seat was only valid briefly until the November elections.' We've won tonight, but we're still going to have to hold this position in November,' she said. 'Donate today to help us make it happen.'

In this week's political comeback, Sarah Palin takes a look at the women who made her SCANDALOUS family roots

Sarah, who has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump, is one of three candidates for Alaska's sole seat in the United States House of Representatives in November. The former governor of Alaska, who died earlier this year, is running against Republican Nick Begich III - the grandson of a former Democratic congressman who occupied the position - and Democrat Mary Peltola, a former lawmaker. The three candidates are also competing to finish the two-year term of late Representative Don Young, who served for 49 years before his death in March at the age of 88. On August 31 and the winner will be announced on August 31 and serve until the end of the year. Sarah's political comeback comes 14 years after she was selected to be late Senator John McCain's running mate on the 2008 Republican presidential nomination, placing her and her family in the public eye. Teen pregnancy, domestic assault charges, a drunken family brawl, and divorce have all weighed on the Palins over the year.
