Early life
He was born in 1987 in Hartford, Wisconsin and is a native actor, singer and dancer. Hansen graduated from Hartford Union High School in Hartford, Wisconsin in 2005.
Career
In the role of Charlie, he appeared in the National Tour of Kinky Boots. In addition, he appeared in Wicked's first national tour as Fiyero. Hansen appeared as Gabe understudy/cover in Tony Award-winning Broadway show Next to Normal in 2010 and then reprised his role as Gabe in the First National Tour of the show from 2010 to 2011. He appeared in A Snow White Christmas with Neil Patrick Harris and Ariana Grande in December 2012. Hansen appeared in Todd Almond's musical Girlfriend in February 2013. Curt appeared in the final cast of Hairspray on Broadway, as well as other Broadway readings and workshops. He appeared in Jason Robert Brown's acclaimed musical Parade on Mark Taper Forum. He studied at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point's BFA Musical Theatre program. In the Broadway production of Wicked, Hansen took over Fiyero from Ashley Parker Angel beginning on July 16, 2018. He died on September 9, 2018, and Ryan McCartan took over. In the musical's second national tour, he has been playing Fiyero since 2019.
