Christopher Michael Massey (born January 26, 1990) is an American actor, comedian, and singer best known for his role as Michael Barret in the Nickelodeon television series Zoey 101.
He is also known for being in several commercials in the early 2000s.
He is Kyle Massey's older brother.
Personal life
Massey has three children, one daughter named Mariah by reality TV celebrity Cassalei "Cassie" Jackson, his mother is actress Shar Jackson, and a son named Carter by Bria Miller, who was previously married in 2020.
Massey was assaulted and robbed by rapper Lil Twist at his brother's house in Los Angeles in March 2015. According to reports, the rapper brought four others to help him with the brothers' murder and robbery, as well as brass knuckles, and took Massey's Rolex watch before leaving. Lil Twist pleaded no contest to burglary, grand theft, making criminal charges, battery, and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, while receiving a one-year prison term.
Massey was arrested and charged with domestic violence in April 2016 after an incident involving Jackson while exiting a nightclub, according to TMZ. Career
Massey began his acting career at a young age, appearing in commercials for Cap'n Crunch and Pop Tarts. He has also appeared on Punk'd as a guest. He received the Young Artist Award in Live Theatre for his role as Young Simba in The Lion King in 2002.
In the Nickelodeon television series Zoey 101, Massey appeared for his first role as Michael Barret. When the show premiered in January 2005, it attracted a greater number of viewers aged 9–14 than any other prime on the network in the preceding eight years. In 2005, Zoey 101 was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Children's Program.
Massey is the older brother of Disney's Kyle Massey, star of Disney's Cory in the House, That's So Raven, and Fish Hooks.
