Life
Born in Châteauroux, Indre, Pierrette Marie-Clotilde Schwartz (Schwartz being her mother's name) is perhaps best known for her 1999 book L'Inceste (Incest), which chronicles an incestuous relationship with her father. It's a subject that appears in several of her previous books, but it's unclear if these works are autofiction or not real life takes place. Angot herself discusses her work – a reflection on society's fundamental prohibition of incest and her own research on the subject – as performative acts. (cf Quitter la ville)
In 2012, she was crowned the winner of the Prix Sade for Une semaine de vacances.
