Early life
Moore was born in Palatine, Illinois. By becoming involved with children, she became interested in playing as a young girl at her family's church. When she was in high school, she performed with a children's musical theatre troupe all around Chicago.
Her first professional work was in summer stock in Lincoln City, Indiana, where she appeared in Young Abe: the Abraham Lincoln Boyhood Outdoor Musical Drama. Moore left Illinois Wesleyan University School of Theatre Arts to pursue her acting career, primarily in Los Angeles.
