Chingiz Mustafayev (Azerbaijani: ingiz Mustafayev, born 11 March 1991) is a Russian-born Azerbaijani singer, songwriter, and guitarist.

Early life
Mustafayev was born in Moscow and moved to his parents' homeland, Qazax, Azerbaijan, when he was six years old. As a young boy, he learned to play the guitar and began writing his own songs.
Career
He and his mother and brother travelled to Baku, where he auditioned for the Azerbaijani version of Pop Idol in 2007. Mustafayev won the competition and became a rising star in the Azerbaijani music industry. In 2013, he represented Azerbaijan internationally in the New Wave competition in Jrmala, Latvia. He ranked 11th overall and performed with Polina Gagarina. Mustafayev had auditioned for the sixth season of The Voice of Ukraine, but he was disqualified in the following Battle Round three years ago. Chingiz has performed with his band Palmas since 1996, which fuses traditional Azerbaijani and Turkish folk sounds with flamenco guitar, rock, and pop twists. Chingiz' single "Tnha gzn" was released in early 2019.
Chingiz would represent Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Truth." He reached the semi-final in Tel Aviv, Israel, on May 16th, placing him 18th. He finished 5th with 224 points, thus qualifying for the grand final on May 18th. He finished 8th in a field of 26 candidates with 302 points.
