Polina Sergeyevna Gagarina (born 27 March 1987) is a Russian singer, songwriter, actress, and model.

With "A Million Voices," she represented Russia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, where she finished second, earning 303 points by the jury.

Gagarina was also a judge on the Chinese reality show Singer, where she was one of the finalists.

Personal life

Gagarina married Russian actor Pyotr Kislov on August 25, 2007, a New Yorker. On October 14, 2007, she gave birth to Andrey, their son. On March 31, 2010, the two divorced. On September 9, she married photographer Dmitry Iskhakov. Miya, the mother of their daughter, was born in April 2017. In 2021, the couple married.

Career

Gagarina was a participant in season two of Star Factory, a Russian reality singing competition. She appeared on many songs by Maxim Fadeev and went on to win the show but she did not continue to work with Fadeev after she was defeated. Gagarina was accepted to perform in the company Playgirls after winning Star Factory. The group was granted a recording deal with ARS Records but it was eventually broken. "Kolybelnaya," "Morning," "Ya tvoya," "Pomnyu," and "Ya ne proshchu nikogda" were among her singles later released. Poprosi u oblakov's debut album was released in 2007.

Gagarina introduced the single "Komu, zachem" in 2008. "A duet with Russian singer Irina Dubtsova" explains the movie. O sebe, her second studio album, was announced in March 2010. Gagarina began to work with Konstantin Meladze, a Russian-Georgian company. After season six's champion Jessie J (United Kingdom) and Kristian Kostov (Bulgaria), who competed alongside her in season seven, Gagarina became the third European contestant to participate. Gagarina achieved three top placements on the first five weeks of shows before finishing last in her sixth appearance, which was the Challenge round; Gagarina would have been disqualified based on the competition's laws, but was eventually saved after losing to a majority (4) of the seven singers. After reporting to the world that she sustained a muscle injury during rehearsals, she was temporarily given a bye on March 22.
